We (Home Helpers and Direct Link Inc.) are committed to serving our clients effectively and honestly everyday. We will never share your personal information with anyone that you have not specifically named, or that we are inclined to do so in the event that your health care provider requests it in the face of an emergency. We follow HIPAA rules and guidelines as mandated for health care agencies by the State of Ohio. Do not be alarmed if your son, for example calls the office and cannot get information about your care until we speak to you directly. The intention is not to inconvenience you, but rather to protect you. We will not collect any information from you that we do not need, and what we do collect we will protect like our own. That's our promise to you.

Any person may file a complaint with Home Helpers Inc. if they believe that their rights under HIPPA have been violated.

You may contact our office in writing to view or request changes made to your personal information anytime Monday through Friday 9am to 1pm. You may also contact our office for a copy of your rights and our policies and procedures under the Ohio HIPAA Mandate.

Collection of Personal Information:

When you visit our Web site, you may choose to give us basic information: name, email address, mailing address, ZIP code, phone and caregiving information. This allows us to process your applications and billing more efficiently, and ultimately, to give you a higher caliber of customer service. Your Internet service provider's address, the name of the Web page directing you, as well as your clicks and activity on our site. This tracking data helps us understand how to make our site more available and user friendly to our clients.

Cookies Are Served: "Cookies" are small amounts of data that are stored on your computer. They find their way to your browser via a Web server. They sound friendly and helpful because they are. They flag information about your activity on our Web site. This information helps us improve our site and make it friendlier and more accessible for all users. The Forms and Billing Center on this site which collect some information possibly deemed personal are encrypted with a 256 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificate for your protection.

We take all reasonable steps to protect our clients' personal information against loss, misuse, and alteration. We use encryption technology whenever receiving and transferring your personal information on our site. When you pay your bill or fill out a form online, either a solid key or a locked padlock icon will appear in the lower right of your browser window or address bar. This icon indicates that your session is secured through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). If one of these icons does not appear, please contact Home Helpers.

These forms are provided as a convenience to our visitors. They are by no means a necessary element to gain access to employment or a services consultation.

The information provided in a consultation request is kept to an absolute minimum, and used only to contact the potential client and determine a possible need for our services. This can be done anytime by calling the office at (330) 839-8800. The information is stored by Home Helpers for a period of 60 days if the information does not result in the submitter becoming a Home Helpers client, it is then destroyed.

The Home Helpers Employment application form also voluntarily collects personal information. This information is used to determine potential eligibility for employment within our organization. Applications will be kept on file for 2 years. This is not an indication of eligibility for employment during that time period, but rather the national recommended time period to retain applications. Applications do not have to be filled out on this site, it is a convenience. You may at your discretion visit our office at:

By registering with our site billing center you agree to receive emails regarding policy changes, billing issues, important notices, scheduling issues and other information related to your services. You are required to keep your billing information both up to date and accurate at all times, this is your responsibility. At no time may you under law and policy provide inaccurate billing information, credit card or account information which is not yours personally or use anyone else's information to complete a transaction of this website. Such actions above can result in account cessation and possible legal implications.

Our newsletter is a double opt-in registration system.  You must first request to be signed up and then by email confirm your request before you can be included in our newsletters.  You may of your own power login and cancel this registration at anytime.
